Fire Rated Single Steel Door
This project was in Cheadle, Cheshire. The client required a door that met building regulations for fire safety, but didn’t want a heavy, light blocking wood door, so instead they chose our steel and glass fire rated door option. Not only do they look fantastic and meet fire regulations, both the steel and glass is fire specification, they provided our client with the open feeling they wanted, with the added benefit of reducing the road noise from the street.
After speaking with the client, it came down to 2 design options, they first being a full floor to ceiling door the other being a smaller door with fixed panel on top. We decided to go with the full floor to ceiling door with 3 bar design to create 4 panels. This creates a really impressive opening and worked perfectly with the house design.
